NEOSAC is a product based on oxodegradable polyethylene. It includes a blend of pro-degradant substances, stabilisers associated with charges which enable polythene to transform into degradable and bioassimilable matter.Production of NEOSAC has been secured as we set up a rigorous method of tracing. Each NEOSAC bag has got the identification producer number and production site which guarantees the conformity.
Neosac is identified by its logo. It gets the same characteristics of a plastic film during a year ; after end of a year, the film starts the oxidation process.
On contact with light, heat and oxygen, it disintegrates through a process of oxidation by 3 months. The oxidation continues until all matter has been assimilated by micro-organisms. Immediate splitting up allows to eliminate troubles of visual pollution and macro toxicity.
Neosac is a plastic film with a controlled lifespan, recyclable, which becomes biodegradable and compostable.
The degradation process produces water only, carbonic gaz and 'biomasse' : any noxious substance for ground component, vegetable growth and animal life is not affected. Does Neosac biodegrability correspond to conformity EB 13432 ?
No, as the norm EN 13432 is adapted to hydro-degradable materials only which is not the fact of Neosac. Neosac is oxodegradable process means degradable by oxydation.
